  • Republicans Have No Plans on Immigration Reform

The republican party isn't about the Cleaver Family of America. We're a sinking ship with almost 10% unemployment and a currency that is on the brink of collapse. ALL immigration must halt until our ship can float, again.

What is FAIR immigration? Hrmmm If I wanted to be a citizen of XXX country, I should know it's basic history, have a clear path for legal employment and obey it's laws. It would NOT be fair to sneak in and say, "Hey I'm here now, sorry I broke your laws and can't speak your language. But, now it's only fair and square you not deport me for breaking your laws and give me full citizenship without having earned it." Citizenship is not a right, it's a path you earn.

Smart Immigration can be beneficial. South America is the ONLY group of illegal immigrants who I hear loudly complaining about no penalty for breaking our laws.

WHY do you think latinos are any more special and should get a free pass to immigrate when millions passed through Ellis Island?

"In 1965, Lyndon Johnson signed the Hart-Cellar Act into law. Gone was the quota system favoring Western Europe, replaced by one offering hope to immigrants from all the continents. The face of America was truly about to change." ellisisland.org

Disinformaton seems to be the tool of those who oppose a nation of laws. Come here legally, NOT illegally. Breaking our laws have penalties.

Conservatives DO have proposals. One cannot bring a bill to the floor of the house unless radical nancy decides on it. I am begining to think chage.org is part of the mouth-piece of the DNC as they cry that fox news is the mouth-piece of the RNC.

I hope this doesn't sound cruel, but, require hospitals to report all undocumented patients. Whether they are white, black, brown, yellow or purple. INS will follow up that they must show proof of citizenship within 90 days and acquire medicare/medicaide if they are a citizen and pay premiums. This alone will save hospitals an estimated 108 Billion Dollars based on an average $4k hospital visit.

Everyone will be paying federal, social security, medicare taxes. Why is it that we only have an immigration issue with our southern neighbor?

Reform tort law. Make Plaintiff pay for legal fees if they loose and force medical claims to go to court without the option to settle. Disbar attornies who escalate a large number of frivolous common-sense issues.

Overhaul medicare claims underwriting. Hire experts to make it work and weed out fraud and abuse.

Let's do all of this before we believe the President has all the answers. Congress controls the purse strings, not the President. And who is the BOSS of Congress? WE ARE.

Lauren: History 101. We are a Federalist Republic. We promote for the common good. Healthcare Regulation should ensure doctors are licensed and provide for malpractice through tort law. Ensure that medications are safe to consume.

BUT, we are not entitled under the constitution to full healthcare insurance ran by the government that competes directly with commercial ventures. That is a violation of the constitution. Government is not industry.

Now, if you want an Oligarchy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oligarchy government will decide if you can get your hip joint replaced.

I agree Mr. Marshall. Mr. Baker's freedom ENDS when it encroaches upon another American's FREEDOM. The "Moral Majority" have controlled freedoms for far too long. Who is Mr. Baker to tell anyone with whom they can conjoin into a legal contract of domestic partnership, equal to those freedoms a man and a woman enjoy. Not from a relgious point of view, but a license to enjoy federal, state and local government benefits, including binding into contractual agreements in a union of two.
You can't call it domestic partnership, as you might agree, and say this is equal to marriage. I'm also against churches telling citizens they may not indulge in alcohol durring sunday religious meetings. I hope the ACLU takes on each county in America to abolish city and county ordinances that prohibit alcoholic consumption durring religious observance days. Let the relgious zigoats move to Saudi Arabia if they want a government to enforce their religous laws upon the masses.
I hope you watched Mike Huckabee, tonight. Talk about religous figures dictating law. I did agree with him that thoughts of hate cannot be a crime unless you discriminate on employment, public uses usually granted to heterosexuals, Shelter, et al.
Everyone should be calling Fox Broadcasting's sponsors and threaten to boycott their products for buying into this show.

I certainly do not compare legal immigration and lawful entry into our country with racial bias. I am biased towards illegal entry into our country against state and federal law.

ok no more caps, but you must agree that illegal immigration helps no one. And it is not a slur. My great grandparents are italian immigrants. They did the right thing just as many before and after them have done. Obey the law's of our country.

OK thanks Mr. Franz. I'll need to go back and read more about the church of England and our settlers. Do you agree that religious organizations in America are starting to act no less controlling than the morality police of certain Muslim countries?
Civic law based entirely on a certain religious sect is wrong.  Mr. Baker, did you read the amicus brief? The argue that the laws enabling initiatives over-stepped their intent. Citizens may not vote to take away civil rights of an entire class of citizenry

We did, however bestow medals and songs and taught about Martin Luther King Jr. and his fight for civil rights, now didn't we? Let's just all go Saudi Arabia and get arrested because the morality police deems us sinful for wearing inappropriate clothing because their religious sector makes the laws?
Since when does the "moral majority" of the American church dictate laws to the state and federal union? I think our ancestors fled England because of religious tyranny, didn't they?
Religious activity ENDS when it impedes upon the personal and inalienable rights of our citizenry! The "Moral Majorty" cites marriage as a tradition. Well, so was it traditional to own a handful of slaves!
When this country begins to allow the relgious "moral majority" to dictate our laws, I will take up arms to defend and uphold the constitution and The United States of America, a federalist republic. Which is what the Honorable J. Q. Adams suggested to the supreme court would happen if they sided with the slaves of the vessel, Amistad. That civil war would break out in our country.
