Tell Congress: Hold the Armed Forces Accountable for Rape, Sexual Assault and Harassment

I have considered joining a branch of the military before and ultimately decided against it for fear of being raped and assaulted...something that almost definitely would have happened considering the military's utter disregard for maintaining the safety of their female soldiers. By not punishing such action swiftly and harshly, you are basically encouraging it.

This woman deserves more than an apology. What she deserves is the justice that was denied her then and which she will never have. An apology born from public pressure is a pathetic substitute but I hope that it brings her some measure of peace.
