I am a bisexual woman, now in a long term relationship with a female life partner (we are both in our 30s). I didn't come out until well into college, largely because I went to a conservative, rural high school. I wish their had been a GSA in my school and I wish it for every high school student who is questioning their sexual orientation. School administrators are responsible for making sure each child in their schools are able to learn and thrive as they grow up. I am signing this petition to help send a message to teachers and principles - a child will learn better when they feel supported as a person! GSAs are an essential form of support for children who are gay or have a friend or family member who is gay. Thanks for the opportunity to weigh in, I will forward this one widely. Peace, Maryrose Dolezal, St. Paul, MN
I am a queer woman and travel frequently. Of course I will avoid southwest if possible unless they demonstrate that their anti-gay policies are more than talk.
