Eric commented on the article |My response to Stephanie was meant as a "We are all human" statement, do I agree with all this animal liberation and whether we are born vegan and does man have a hidden propensity for rape etc. etc... all this crap is ridiculous! I eat meat and I don't feel guilty in the least, you wan't to eat veggies, great. If people don't find some common ground and agree to disagree on issues, then we humans are in for a heap of turmoil. You may not believe this but, there are people out there in the real world who have hunted, fished, and eat meat for generations and no amount of pleading and reasoning are going to change their minds. If you don't agree with this then don't hunt or don't fish or don't eat meat. As far as these extremists or ecoterrorists go... people are also going to get tired of these and start taking matters into their own hands! I've seen some video of what these anti-hunting/fishing extremist do and its a real surprise that they are not shot! I for one don't think I could exercise such control.

Stephanie, This may come as a surprise to you but I commend you for your dedication and as you know from me that means alot. I have friends who are vegan and if that is the way you live I say more power to you. The only problem I have is representing people who don't live that way in a bad light. Everyone has a right to live however they choose as long as they don't interfere with the rights of others.

If you want to end the violence, kick Hamas and Hezbolla out of Gaza and the WestBank and maybe you will see some peace! If these groups continue to hijack these Palastinian areas, things will only get worse! Maybe you have forgotten history or maybe the history you were taught was slightly slanted but, the Jews were persecuted and their land was stolen first, they have fought for every inch of dirt that was stolen from them! Don't expect them to give it up! The Arab population could have co-existed with the Jews when the nation of Israel was formed in 1948 but they insisted on going to war and they had their ass handed to them, NOW, they want peace and security and they want the world to give it to them. You guys are awful silent when Israelis are massacred in bombings or killed while trying to carry on their daily lives. I think the hypocricy speaks volumes. The U.S military should not be in the relief buisness your right, they should deliver the destruction and leave the humanitarianism to the U.N....... God knows they can't do anything else! With all the Genocide that they could have prevented (but were too cowardly) the U.N. should become Null and Void! Our military delivers the PIZZA because the U.N. are too scared to do it!!

Listen close!! My uncle runs a combine in the corn fields of Iowa and he tells me THOUSANDS of animals are killed every season by harvesters...... thats in one corn field! How many more are killed all over the world! Also there are thousands of animals killed every year by trucks transporting this produce to market.... think about that when you sit down to your next plate of veggies! Don't be so sanctimonious!!

There was a time in the past when you were lucky if you even saw a deer, now, thanks to animal rights activist and WMA's deer are everywhere, run over in the road and eating everyones gardens! Heck, I can even shoot one in my own back yard...... and to think I used to have to travel miles to hunt. In TN we plant our own deer mix! We don't need help from the TWRA.. Oh yea... I think if they didn't wan't people on their back all the time the gay community would mind their own buisness and keep to themselves like the rest of America and there wouldn't be any problems. There is a nice lesbian couple that live across from my mom and dad and they never bother a soul, other than being normal everyday neighbors, nice, courteous, do anything for you, decent people....BUT... if they started parading up and down the street in G-strings telling everyone how gay they are and telling everyone that they will have to get used to it.. well ... then there would be problems. See what i'm getting at? Straight Americans are tired of the parade! If you want to be gay ..be gay, but don't tell everyone else how they are going to like it when they don't. Be yourself and respect others and they will respect you. Then everyone will live in peace. Granted there will be the occasional asshole out there... but.. every society has those!
