  Ok, very interesting points and I can see your point, for example.
  
  #1) Currently for the most part there is a background check but it is very weak and not standard scross the states, for example here in Florida a lot of individuals who qualify for guns would not quality for funs in most other states.
  
  Also, Doctors for example have to disclose information to the Department of Transportation for medical conditions or medication that should keep this individual from Driving, why is this not the case for Gun Owners, if you are taking certain medication then perhaps that individuals gun ownership is dangerose to others.
  
  #2) Easy, they are required to store the guns safely. Leaving the responsability to the owner, if a gun is stolen from you or someone gets injured or killed because of the lack of fun safe storage then that individual is responsable of what happens. Why exemt this individuals from guilt as it is happening now.
  
  #3) I guess I need clarification on this, not sure what that would mean.
  
  #4) This is just common sense
  
  #5) This would be great, at the moment there is no encouragement for the gun manufacturers to make guns safer instead of otherwise.
  
  #6) That would be great, Im sure a lot of people fear this but this doesnt mean that guns will be taken off the street but there will be some sort of organization to keep guns under control
  
  #7) That would be cool
