Guns kill people like spoons make people fat!. Its the idiot behind the trigger that kills people. You guys are retarded if you think banning guns will keep people from killing each other. Remember, anything is a weapon if you hold it just right.

Quoting C.A. "If a person was secure within their own self, why does/would color matter...."

OH my gawsh.....That quote totally reminds me of Dave Chappelles "Black White Supremist" skit. Seek it out on you tube if you havent seen it.

If we were all born blind, there would be world peace...you can quote me on that.

Good points Alex. Thanks for setting me straight. Could you elaborate further on your "canine racism" comparison?

You might want to keep that dog on a short leash. Just when you least expect it, your Pit Bull could embarrass the crap out of you by attacking someones dog or someone. Not a matter of "if" but "when" with those "friendly" pit bulls.  I'd hate to see that turn out bad for you. Good luck with that. Pit Bulls who have been traumatized are kind of sketchy and will go out of their way to protect people they like. Like you. If they sense someone is a threat to you they will protect you, very well. Be safe, and again good luck with that.

Good points Lisa and Kent. Nice to see some civility about the blog.

Hey Lisa, I know its off topic but as a fellow tofu grubber I thought it was a good read, its a cool and informative link to an/some article(s) about the dangers of commercial tofu consumption. It seems to be anti commercial soy products and very pro, raw soy products, namely Edamame-heres the link

Alright Stephanie settle down meow. I was REALLY not being condescending. When I used those words, I was quoting what I have heard time and time again from people I know, who could care less about animal rights. I guess I should have written that in there somewhere. Please, I dont want you to misunderstand me, I am a supporter of Animal Rights.

Personally, I would like to see this movement move ahead and make some real progress. Unfortunately it is only moving ahead inside its own inner-circle of supporters. It is not changing minds, it is enraging them with the "im right, no....im right" mentality.

The questions and statements that Ken and I are voicing are not personal attacks against you. They are merely questions we have. Maybe Ken was trying to have a passionate debate with you, I dont know. I just had a few questions, and thank you for answering the ones you did. (I believe) of what/how mainstream America views Animal Rights supporters. The majority of the population does NOT take the Animal rights movement seriously. People do not take too kindly to having someone standing on a pedistal yelling at them that everything they enjoy is wrong and is destroying the planet.

The point(s) that I am trying to make here is that in a blog you cannot hear a persons tone of voice. Its more like slowmotion ping-pong with lots of confusion. We should be sitting around the campfire sipping on a nice Stout. Obviously that is not possible in this instance. So if I offended you, I am truly sorry.

Another point im trying to make is that for this movement to become more mainstream, It has got to start coming across to the general public as being a little "less" radical as it is viewed. How to do this? Im open to suggestions. Im sure you got some funny looks from your family when you told them you were no longer going to eat deer meat. WE have to come up with campaigns that, to the general public are easier to swallow and do not conjure up "fightin words" responses.

To Alex, (im not personally attacking you or trying to sword fight with you about this) but as far as a Scientific approach to this subject goes, not many people give science much credit anymore. A few years ago we only had 9 planets now we have 13 and we still had Tyrannosaurus Rex and Brontosaurus- nope not any more, now its Gigantasaurus and T- Rex is being argued as now being Tarbosaurus bataar. So what to do? How do we make Animal Rights a more swallowable subject to the mainstream population?
