Lino Silva

I grew up in the Logan Heights neighborhood of San Diego. I've spent the last seven years imprisoned in California's notorious youth prison system, called the Division of Juvenile Justice. Several years ago, I met older imprisoned youth who started reading books about politics and history with me. I'm now working with Books Not Bars, a campaign of the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights. They introduced me to change.org and help me connect our advocacy inside to the world outside.
