The way I see it ..is all about making money. Lawyers make money, bail bond man makes money the court makes money any time a person is caught smoking.....jail time. This is almost the same issue as when alcohol Prohibition. Decent people went to jail while Mafiosos were selling Moon shine and whatever contain alcohol. Many got rich while other got jail time.

I take 150 mg of Effexor XR. While helping a friend move, my newly filled prescription was accidently thrown out. This has never happened to me before, but now I am without my FDA approved depression and anxiety medication.
I am experiencing the withdrawals that you'd expect from a heroin user. Yet, this drug is 100% legal. It was prescribed to me at the age of 15.
Marijuana is said to help with pain, muscle spasms and even depression. No cases of severe physical withdrawals have been reported.
Not to mention the plant Cannabis sativa could possibly help with the withdrawals of 100% legal prescription medications. My question is, does the reasoning behind cannabis prohibition make any sense to you?

YOU TAKE AWAY THE ONLY THING THAT WILL HELP PEOPLE WITH SERVER PAIN FROM BONE DISEASES, ARTHRITIS, JOINT PAIN, MUSCLE SPASUMS, MUSCLE DETERIATION. HOW ARE THOSE PEOPLE SUPPOSED TO WORK IF NARCOTICS MAKES THEM UNABLE TO FUNCTION AT WORK. A PERSON IS MORE LIKELY TO GET HURT ON THE JOB IF THEY ARE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF NARCOTICS. MARIJUANA CALMS PEOPLE DOWN AND MAKES IT POSIBLE TO FUNCTION AT WORK.WE NEED TO STOP ALL THE REAL DRUGS THAT IS WHAT'S KILLING OUR COUNTRY NOT THE MARIJUANA, YOU DON'T HEAR ABOUT A POT HEAD OVERDOSING DO YOU!! NO YOU HEAR NOTHING BUT NEWS OF SOMEONE DIED OR GET KILLED OVER METH,SPEED,COCAIN,HAROINE,TAR,PERSCRIPTION DRUGS OR ANY OTHER DEADLY DRUGS OUT THERE.

When this 52 yr. old Grandmother who has enjoyed a joint everyday with a cup of tea for 30 yrs. cannot reach across my small community and offer aid to a family member in need w/o other kinds of drug users "freaking out" it's time. My God allowed a poem to erupt.
Sunshine, blue skies, summer on the run,
blue-jean weed hanging out, having fun.
Commitment important, love number one.
Rock and white powder begged to differ as such,
like changed to bewilderment, proceeded to distrust.
The alcohol dependence, legal of the trades,
brought added perception in the mix of haze.
That perception being foggy, everyday bar none,
can create a lot of havoc when playing in the sun.
Where all participants have their places mapped,
even the best of intentions can seem a little whacked.
Each played their music, each cried their tunes,
every man for themselves, whose really the loones'?
Middle-class powder soaring high, but dipping to low-life rock, while weed's just high on life, love, and forgetting their clock.
We need both cry rock and powder crew,
if you turn your eyes, we won't look at you.
But toss in morale's, ethics, which weed is capable to do,
rock and powder react differently, alcohol too.
The mixture of the three can truly cause a mind
to leap to grand delusions of the weirdest kind.
Alcohol stands alone, proud in its right,
to claim legality with all its might.
Rock, powder, external power, money, greedy,
claim we are who feed the needy.
Give us some powder, you make the rock
we'll party together, weed is a crock.
Living on love ain't the real scene,
rock and powder have become the mean.
Weed begone, you think to pure,
your righteousness we have to cure.
Cut you down and end your fate,
we claim victory on that date.
Weed stands tall and holds its ground,
in the place between that it has found.
It is golden, Heaven sent.
Worth every penny that is spent.
It cries to be like alcohol, legal is best,
least of the dangerous compared to the rest.
It doesn't kill body, spirit, soul
when it isn't used to fill a hole
Used when full it will only expand
that which is already at hand.

I pray that we as a nation under God can have our rights to use marijuana. Just as we have the right s to drink, and smoke cigarettes, wich are by far more harmful yet so easily to obtain. This madness has to stop. There are far more people out there that smoke, then what the surveys say. So many good people are afraid to speak up on this matter for fear of losing jobs, friends, and social status, but the fear of getting busted is stopping so many from speaking up. We fear our government, not respect it. That is no way to run a country. With the way the economy is, it is just plain sinful not to do something to get this out and in the open so it can be used for the betterment of out country. The ads they have on TV for pot are a joke and waste of money. The kids today are way too smart to be brainwashed. I would of never dreamed that 30 years ago this drug would not be legalized by now. I believe it is what they call bullSh*t and politics. It is time for all good people to take a stand and pull our heads out of the sand. It is time to talk about the elephant in the middle of the room. God bless us all and give us the strength to change this crazy law...Lynn

here's an oddball suggestion.
to 10 people you know to be against the legalisation of marijuana send out a copy of the facts on marijuana.the more times they hear the truth the sooner they will believe it. they don't even have to know who it is from. lets say 100 people reading this send out 10 anonymous letters. that is 1000 letters. imagine the cost of writing to all these people! wouldn't you like to be a part of history?
wouldn't u like to look back in 30 or 40 years time when canabis is legal and be able to say u played a part in bringing about it's legalisation?
