Juan Vazquez Calderon
Juan is a seven-year old boy waiting to live a normal life, one without shame and ridicule. Juan has bilateral microtia (missing ear) and artesia (missing ear canal), but no treatment for his condition is available in his hometown of Four Oaks, North Carolina. Nor can his family afford to pay for travel and treatment elsewhere.
LBFF doctors are donating $18,700 in surgery and his airfare will be also be donated, but additional support is still needed to make his treatment possible. Juan's treatment will entail two procedures: the first will create a framework for two external ears; during the second, Juan will be fitted with his external ear and bone-anchored external hearing aid.
Our team of volunteer surgeons and doctors are ready to transform Juan's face and life, but they need your help to give Juan a new beginning.
Your generosity will provide:
•Hotel accommodations during two ten-day treatment and recovery visits $4,000
•Food and entertainment expenses while in NYC $1,000 •Anesthesia fees for two procedures $2,630
•Hospital fees for both procedures $8,000
•Bone-anchored hearing aid $3,000
•Medicine and medical supplies $500
•Administrative expense to schedule procedures $300
Total required to treat Juan: $19,430
