Fernando Jerod Fernandez Molina
Fernando is a nine-year old boy from Portoviejo, Ecuador. Fernando was born with right-sided microtia (missing ear) and artesia (missing ear canal), but no treatment for his condition is available in his community.
LBFF doctors are donating $18,700 in surgery, but additional support is still needed to make his treatment possible. Fernando's treatment will entail two procedures: the first will create a framework for an external ear; during the second, Fernando will be fitted with his external ear. He will stay with relatives in NYC during his treatments and recovery.
