I studied at the University of Havana during the Spring 2008 semester and am, of course, very anxious to get back.  It's time for a change in our country's policy towards Cuba, a policy that is not only unjust, but ineffective at attaining its stated goal.  The Latin American Working Group is helping change our Cuba policy by advocating an end to the travel ban.  Please support this cause!

    On February 27, 2009, Bowdoin College's Taste for Change hosted a Cuban-themed dinner to talk about the realities of the island and raise money to help change the current situation.  We decided that the Latin American Working Group was the best organization to carry out this mission.  On behalf of the 50+ guests and 10 volunteers who contributed to make this donation possible, thank you for your work and we are glad to be able to support your mission.  All my best,
