Cuba was never mad at the American Public, but at the time of their collaboration with Communist Russia, we failed to monitor the Cubans interest as a free people. Our Ambassador was not quite reflecting the American Pulic Interest at heart. This caused the to close his doors to us, reflecting conflict of interest. Russia made offers in support, as we would not lift our Sanctions at the time, ultimately leading to the Cuban Missile Crisis. We sort of turned our backs, when we should have helped Castro at his time of need and support towards freeing his Country. He became closed off, due to our overlording politics at that time. Well, times have changed into a time of forgiveness and compassion. We need to forgive one another and be a mentor for Israel and Palestine to follow suit. Anyways, I fell in love with their music- what a blend of Heart and Soul. Please open our borders, so as we can love on each others culture once again, From BlusGuitarist Montreville Blakely with Natalie Merchant and Friends /// www.montrevilleblakely.com ///www.giveusyourpoor.org -
