Want to lead outreach for the fastest growing activist network on the web?

Change.org is hiring a Communications and Outreach Coordinator who will oversee outreach for all of Change.org's online campaigns and special projects - regularly collaborating with our team of 25 writer/activists, hundreds of nonprofit partners, and thousands of cause-based bloggers.

Specifically, the Communications and Outreach Coordinator will:

• Lead outreach for Change.org’s online campaigns across more than a dozen issues, working directly with our Organizing Director on planning, strategizing, and executing on tactics and outreach;
• Work with our Managing Editor to reach out to bloggers and other media to spread important conversations that are started by our team of more than 25 writers and the prominent members of Change.org's forthcoming Changemakers network (www.change.org/changemakers);
• Manage all of Change.org’s social media presence on Twitter, Facebook, Digg, etc.
• Assist with communications and outreach for recurring special projects such Ideas for Change in America (www.change.org/ideas), Blog Action Day (www.blogactionday.org), Jobs for Change (jobs.change.org), and other forthcoming initiatives.

The position can be located anywhere, although we will slightly favor applicants located in San Francisco, New York, and Washington, DC (where we will soon launch an office).

We prefer applicants with at least 1-2 years of experience in an outreach or communications role through internships, jobs or campaigns. Applicants with different levels of experience, however, are also welcome to apply; what we care about more than the applicant's exact background is finding someone who is passionate, hard-working, organized, and excited about working with many others in a fast-paced environment dedicated to advancing social change.
