Change.org is Hiring Social Change Career Guides
Are you passionate about helping people find a career that makes a difference?
Change.org is hiring a team of part-time career guides to provide daily advice to
our more than one million monthly visitors about finding a career in social change –
including nonprofit, social enterprise, political, and government jobs.
Our guides will serve at the leading edge of one of the most important shifts in our
culture and economy: the increasing interest in careers with a purpose. Despite this
interest, it is still more difficult to find information about getting a job for good
than a traditional for-profit job. We aim to change that.
Each career guide will write their own blog on Change.org and provide advice on topics
ranging from job searches and career paths to resume writing and interview tactics.
This is a great opportunity to establish your voice online and build your personal brand
as an expert in the social change sector.
We welcome applicants who want to provide general career advice as well as those with an
interest in advising a specific audience/sector, including:
- Green Jobs
- Government Jobs
- Social Enterprise Jobs
- Political Jobs
- Education Jobs
- Social Service Jobs
- International Development Jobs
- College Students
- MBA Grads
- Sector Switchers (from for-profit to non-profit)
- Baby Boomers
Pay is competitive, hours are flexible (expect 10 hours per week), and you can be located
anywhere (and yes, you can even write in your pajamas if desired).
Change.org's team of career guides will work directly with Change.org's managing editor and
join our growing network of 20 cause-based bloggers working every day to build the leading
online hub for information about social issues and ways to take action.
To apply, send your resume (or a link to your Linkedin profile) and an introductory email to
Ben at jobs@change.org. Include in your email whether you are interested in providing general
career advice or to focus on a niche audience/sector (e.g. college students, green jobs, etc).
