Mission

Mission Statement:
Institute for Cultural Change seeks to reach and engage concerned people in the many different parts of the world who desire to promote social, ecological, and cultural evolution through the development of communication and educational models that foster curiosity, imagination, personal reflection, and cross-cultural dialogue.

The Institute for Cultural Change aims to create and connect a global community. We seek to explore how we humans might relate to the natural world less destructively, to discover ways to interact with one another in less violent, racist and sexist ways, and to work toward preserving and augmenting diversity.

Our objectives are to: Provide a forum where we can share creative, transformative, hopeful new images, and stories, Promote ideas for exploring and implementing how we might bring these new perspectives into education, Support the development of new mythologies or world views that will encourage change in a diverse world, Move ideas into action.

Programs

The Institute for Cultural Change Programs

"Change wounds the principle of constancy."

ICC programs revolve around groups that connect, contribute, create and collaborate with the affirmative purpose of bringing about positive individual and collective change.

The processes of conscious and unconscious evolution are continuously influencing all forms of life, matter and thought. The Institute for Cultural Change seeks to offer a diverse range of programs that explore these infinite processes. We look forward to your participation.

Annual Thiasos: A Community Gathering
In ancient Greece, the word,THIASOS, was used to denote a band of followers of the God, Dionysos. It could also mean "a banquet" or "a group of celebrants". For us, Thiasos means "a community in which soul is given first place".

Continuing Education Credits (CEU's) are offered for all of our programs.

Online Education
(add Online) Explore topics in mythology, ecopsychology, depth psychology, symbolism, literature, writing and more via an online course or webcasts. These are noncredit course taught by professionals in various fields.

Community Gathering
ICC annual gatherings are unique, highly informative, dynamic exchange of ideas. We will host a "community gathering" each year that will bring together scholarship, art and the experiential.
