IEARN carries out its work through the following programs:
Teacher Professional Development Courses,
Student Global Collaborative Projects (300),
Global Organizational Partnerships (over 50),
working in an Online Network (one million students in 115 countries, with 20,000 teachers).
iEARN supports students to go beyond simply being "pen-pals" to use telecommunications in collaborative projects which are curriculum-based and teacher-designed. Uniquely, iEARN projects both enhance learning and are designed to make a difference in the world as part of the educational process.
iEARN projects span the curriculum with projects in the following areas: Creative & Language Arts; Humanities & Social Sciences; Math, Science & Environment; and Social Action. Students and teachers are able to participate in any of 30+ language.
