I think we need to put aside prejudices and preconceived notions and deal with the reality. There is a large Gay and Lesbian population. They are daughters, sons, mothers, fathers, aunts and uncles, they are part of our everyday lives. They love as deeply as straight people, they bleed when they are cut, they cry when we cry, and the are committed to their loved ones with the same depth and breadth as the heterosexual population. Why are they excluded from the basic rights to show the world their love and committment? Please stop this ban as a society, and ackowledge that not all of us are the same, and we must live with that knowledge. - by Linda Rosenthal

Thanks Linda. Well said. But logic is not where the Right is coming from. Knowing people is one thing everyone does. So the TELL 3 campaign, of discussing GLBT issues with 3 people every day is a good way to start.
