I've been to the post office with this problem, and some junk was coming even to our Organization's P.O box, but way less than my home address, which tells us the more you deal w/ private companies and organizations the more they send of course. There best way to cut it in half is to immediately notify organizations and private firms to communicate only by email and then be more careful on the net. The U. S. Post office says the law makes them send mail as long as companies pay them no matter what. So we need to change the some laws. Ideas?
Environmental laws:
1) drastically raise bulk paper mail rates
2) Downsizing: Put a tax by weight volume on any paper or plastic product mailed w/ any advertising, including company names and logos etc.....they'll start using the internet more when it costs them enough or be forced to use less paper. Insurance companies etc. will not be sending your new policies and documents in a half/pound envelope they'll do it online like mine does.
