I think what is needed is empathy between the government and the people. There are many good suggestions here, is there someone who will "hear" them and respond? As far as I know about empathy it means being deeply heard. In this blog, who is listening?

Anne,Love your question! We are inspired to know there are still people excited and willing to put out ideas on how to move forward with this proposal. We are focused at the moment on the empathy corps piece of the proposal. Empathy corps trainings are currently underway in WA state prisons and communities. We are looking at ways to offer it to greater numbers of people and geographic regions. Stay tuned!
