we have to understand that the last administration did not appreciate 'the human factor' when it came to diplomacy. the needs of the people were very rarely met. the only thing the "Republican Party" was interested in was "money" issues. if it doesn't cost too much or it has a profit attached to it, they'll consider the prospect. the rest of the world is aware of the 'human factor' and the understanding that 'the needs' of the people have to be met.
Humanitarianism is: a commitment to improving the lives of other people. what is so wrong with wanting that for everyone? religion does it; health care does it; education does it; organizations do it; education does it; communities do it; even our justice system does it...why did it take so long for our government to do it? too much "poli(TIC)ing maybe?!___Humanitarianism First.org
