Victory Gardens 2.0 - Ideas for Change in America

I'm thinking that not only can we merely plant gardens at our own personal plots; but, also work towards community gardens somehow. My fiancee and I are doing this. We expect it to take a while as we are still laying the proposal and gathering people. There are unused vacant lots all over the place which could be used temporarily until the owners find a developer. The homeless shelters always need food, and some of their residents could work it. We are gathering churches and businesses and whatever we can find. When we have (an undesignated # of signatures)we hope to present the idea to the city. It is already happening in other towns and cities. We hope to follow suit. - by William Cherry
