Keep in touch with the National Anti-Vivisection Society --
http://www.navs.org/site/PageServer?pagename=index -- for up-to-date, carefully researched reports on commercial entities who abuse and kill animals. They have a pocket guide for shopping. Boycotts work if we can get them to a high level.
Put pressure on the President and Congress to reconsider policies toward animal welfare, especially in regard to such matters as aerial massacres of wolves and polar bears. The European Union just banned animal testing throughout all their countries; Russia has stopped killing baby seals. We need to be in league with enlightened nations and to work with nations that need to change policies.
Education: Animal life, habitat and environment needs to be taught in all schools, K-12, and on the college level.
We need to encourage coalition and cooperation among animal groups, local, state, national and international.
Regularly email and write to CEO's of companies involved with animal testing, torture and killing. One of the points I make: "Please, we must reconsider ALL killing, not just humans killing humans but all the killing. The planet, the web of life, is more fragile, more precious and more interconnected than we have ever known."
