If two people love each other why can't they have the right to get married to one another not without their sexuality being a problem because its been proved that homosexuals don't choose to be gay they are born that way. and if we don't choose to be a girl or a boy, why can't it be the same for our sexuality. i am not homosexual but i do have great respect for them because i don't believe they are any different from us. i don't think people who are LGBT should hide who they are because no matter what you you should always have pride for who you are. That's the way you were made so why cant you show that you are proud. i believe the best way to show people that we can all get to together and fight for our cause is in some sort of a walk to the congress or maybe one day when all the leaders of the world go to a meeting in the UN all the supporters of the LGBT should march to the UN demanding equality because i believe no matter our sexuality we are all the same and even if we weren't we still deserve all the same rights.
We should all be united to fight this cause because we are all created equal and have the rigth to love who ever we want.

ok so scientists have found proved fact that gay people have a certain gene they produce in the womb so if god is against gays lesbians bi's and transvestites why is there a gene in there DNA that causes them to be gay or what ever.
i my self am not gay but i do support them they need there rights to just like every one else. as i look back in the history books people have always singled out a group of people just because they have something weird about them or what ever may be the case. why don't we just let things go and live in peace for craps sake lol.
i just think all of this stuff that people are raving about and pissed off like equal rights is all stupid high school drama. we all need to focus on the big stuff like hmmm where are we going to make money. oh oh oh i know legalize Mary Jane and that will be enough jobs for America heck every American could be growing and selling it and you know what i bet once we do legalize it other country's will to and there we have trade all around the world.
but anyways off the subject there i rant to much lol. like i was saying we have singled out native americans and blacks and now afganies and who know who else oh japanese people and chineese oh and vetiamese hmmm since we have run out of people to single out now we are turning on people in our own country that have just as much right as every one else in this world.
i look at the united states as a teenager not listening to its elders maybe we should grow up and become adults

I am not gay just a live and let live type of person. I feel if gays want to get married and live their lives together why should others care?
But just yesterday I was watching a special a crew following Mcsame during his campaign. This gave me some insight to the enemies agenda. They interviewed some religious fanatics and they were against gay marriage, abortion choice and other liberal rights. They believe everyone should be like them. This is something I have never understood about organized religion.
This is not what America is about it is about freedom for all. If you are gay get married live your life as you choose. If you have an unwanted pregnancy and you decide you are not ready that is a personal choice. If you want to go to church and feel these things are against your religion that is fine live your life the way you choose. But do not impose your beliefs on others do not insist every one be like you. We should strengthen our separation between church and state. The right wing religious are trying to legislate morality as usual and they are using our representatives and money to accomplish this.
Sent the ACLU a few bucks if it were not for them we would probably be jailed for not attending church every week. Remember the Crusades the Christians just killed everyone that did not believe as they did. We still have some that feel the same way they will not accept someone that is different.
Something major we need to change is the way the supreme court justices are appointed. Bush should be a good example of why this is important. His Supreme court said the FEDS have the right to overrule a vote by the people and ignore states rights! See legalize cannabis issue 13 states have made medical cannabis legal but with the supreme court backing the FEDS say they trump state laws. A vote by the majority of voters in these 13 states. Thanks President Obama for your help on this issue he is reeling in the FEDS that feel they know better than the majority of voters...
We must overcome the greed and right wing that feels everyone should be like them. I for one a native American will never be like them. I feel every American has rights given by our founders. While others think they are the only ones with rights and fight to take yours away. Don't let them vote, fight insist on separation and lets elect the supreme court justices based on their belief in the American way not what church they attend and whether they feel they have the right to dictate morality!!

Marriage is great way to stop couples from having Gay sex.
It works for some heterosexuals, why not gays. (I am joking)
My partner and I went out yesterday asking for people to sign postcards for their state legislatures, on marriage of same sex couples. It was Cold and windy.
We were in front of a theater, about to have a live play. Most who said, I do not Believe in Gay marriages seemed dressed to the nines.
About 1/3 of the people signed the cards. The other few
Many said the do not know enough to sign or not. We must inform them. We need a site that say Hello I am gay- that does not mean I rape children. In all other efforts I am an outstanding citizen.
I tried, but I just do not trust men sexually.

Just let gay people get married! Shut up about the stupid "ZOMG Kids needs a father and mother!" cuz if you haven't noticed MOST PARENTS ARE SINGLE these days!!! Divorse is UP UP UP! And the kids of divorsed parents are just FINE. So kids have nothing to do with it and I'm sure they'd love BOTH their mommies or both their daddies either way. Kids aren't as intolerant as some of the morons in America these days.
It's simple basic rights. And denying them is wrong. Period.

Equality For All The word marriage has been an exclusive club for too long. Gay men and women have always been around. They are loving people who want and deserve the same rights as everyone else. They are not 2nd class citizens, pedophiles, or evil.
We have a problem. Our government has been listening to many different fundamental religions that fear change and see different lifestyles as a threat to their existence. The time has come for the United States Government to be reminded that it belongs to all people of all faith's and sexual orientation.
Fundamentalist Religions and all other prejudice groups do not own this country.
So how do we respect the churches who do not want to marry gays or lesbians? We let them discriminate if that is their choice. But the government can and will no longer be allowed to deny these innocent people the right to be recognized as a couple.
When two men, two women, or a man and a woman go to the court house they should be able to enter into a partnership or contract that states their intention to be in relationship together.
The rights they are then given must be EQUAL. The problem that keeps many from allowing this to occur is the word marriage.
The solution is to erase the word from the government's dictionary.
Our tax forms must give Gays and Straight's EQUAL rights and a new word or group of words to describe their relationship.
Whatever word or words we choose will free the government from the hassle of being told that marriage is only for one man and one woman.
The church and society will still be able to use either words but it will only be the exclusivists who continue to only allow straights to marry in their hallowed halls.
So that's where I need your help. I am beginning to look for the new equal rights word or words now.
I will be putting together a signature drive of over 1000 names of people in the state of Rhode Island who either agree in the new word(s) or want the word marriage to be removed from our tax forms.
I look forward to your input and adding your support to this extremely important issue.

The 'federal marriage amendment' i would support would state that 'a civil marriage shall be between two persons over the age of consent and no closer related by blood than third cousin.' This would allow churches to continue to deny 'holy matrimony' to anyone they feel the need to discriminate against, but give all people, straight and gay, the exact same marriage rights under federal law. in a secular country, this is the only fair way to handle marriage, which is basically a legal contract. any gay folks who feel the need of a church blessing of their union can find plenty of churches who truly practice what Jesus taught and will happily accommodate them. i go to one myself. We left 'separate but equal' behind a long time ago when it came to civil rights for African-Americans, it's time we do the same for our gay brothers and sisters. Banning gay marriage makes about as much sense as banning left-handed scissors!

In Canada there has been equal rights for gays to marry for several years now, and it has had only positive effects. It is time the United States caught up to Canada in this regard.

I think we need to put aside prejudices and preconceived notions and deal with the reality. There is a large Gay and Lesbian population. They are daughters, sons, mothers, fathers, aunts and uncles, they are part of our everyday lives. They love as deeply as straight people, they bleed when they are cut, they cry when we cry, and the are committed to their loved ones with the same depth and breadth as the heterosexual population. Why are they excluded from the basic rights to show the world their love and committment? Please stop this ban as a society, and ackowledge that not all of us are the same, and we must live with that knowledge.
