Remember everyone!!! Tomorrow is the Global Marijuana March. Be sure to contact local and national media to inform them of marches in your area and express your interest in seeing it covered. Also be sure to make it out to attend your local march and have your voice be heard. New polls put support for marijuana legalization at very close to 50%. The numbers at these Global Marijuana Marches grow each year. Pot rallies so far this year have drawn record numbers of people. Let's really make a statement tomorrow with the largest GMM to date!

Why does nobody ever mention that hemp makes a better renewable and biodegradable fuel to replace gasoline than corn? It also grows 7 times as fast as the trees used to make paper. It is an excellent food source that doesn't need pesticides or fertilizer. So it is a sustainable food source. So legalizing could possibly be the greatest thing we could do for the environment right now.

Call 973-409-3274, listen to the 30 second summary of why marijuana should be legalized and then press # to endorse the idea. If enough people endorse it the proposal will be passed on to Obama and Congress.

Everyone needs to remember that May 2nd is the Global Marijuana March taking place in hundreds of cities all across the globe. Many of these marches have routinely drew far more people than these tea parties a few years running. Now the media has shown it will not only listen these types of events but this cause in particular. We need to make sure the media is well aware of these events. We also need to be using resources Twitter, Facebook and Myspce much like these tea party organizers had to much success. We have to get as many people out as humanly possible. And we have the momentum, the resources and the people to generate lots of buzz and make these marches HUGE! It's hard to laugh at numbers that big with cameras pointed at them.

Your comment about being over 25 is completely uninformed.

Here are the actual statistics behind the subject.  Notice the difference between opinion and fact.

    http://blog.norml.org/2009/04/13/who-are-you-ii-industrious-smart-more-samhda-stats-on-adult-marijuana-users/

This again illustrates the need to reeducate the public.  So people start thinking about facts instead of opinions.

    Legalization of marijuana

Besides the usually mentioned advantages of legalizing marijuana building economy, lowering drug use/crime rate etc. these guidelines should be followed to legalize recreational marijuana use.

Age of 25 should be imposed
Marijuana does tend to make people less ambitious
Majority of college students are 25 years or younger
People who are older than 25 tend to be set in the career they will
           continue for their life
A responsible use class can be enforced to acquire a license to buy
           marijuana

People who buy marijuana should be documented
Marijuana should not be available at convenience stores
Harder availability will discourage underage use
Stores available to sell marijuana can be controlled under strict
            guidelines
Employers can check who uses purchases marijuana and use it as a
basis of employment (though not a basis of denying employment)
ex. 2 equally qualified applicants the one who does not use
            marijuana can be chose fairly)
People who want to use marijuana recreationally should not be
            ashamed of it

We should make it clear over the spring and summer that you cannot eradicate a plant. Every cannabis consumer out there that isn't fortunate enough to have a regular supply of seedless herb (I'm in that boat some of the time) should be making a point to save all of their bag seed and, as encouraged on outgrowbigbro.org/ we should be spending this spring planting these seeds outside of police stations, jails, prisons, hospitals and federal, state and local government buildings. Don't go acquiring high quality seeds to do this with and don't expect that the plants will make it to harvest. They will likely be ripped up before they even start flowering. The point is to demonstrate the futility of trying to eradicate a natural occurring plant.

    Places to avoid:
Elementary through High schools (colleges are fine)
Private property (corporate prisons and drug company headquarters being the exception)
    Residential neighborhoods
    State and national parks

This is a protest, not random vandalism. Narrowing it to government installations and places pertaining to our cause will prevent those not on this side of the issue from feeling like we are trying to force marijuana on them or their families. Also we are not trying to damage someones personal property or our already jeopardized parks and natural areas. So lets stick to the places that would have the most impact. Those in charge of prohibition will wake up one day in mid-summer and find they have the very thing they are trying to eradicate is growing in their front yards. It would be great if someone could drop some seeds near the capital or white house. So please everyone, spread your seeds around and show those in charge that cannabis is not going anywhere.
