Read Amendment 2 of the Constitution, it requires the military to be solely for the security of this free nation and our actions in Afghan and Iraq are both offensive moves making our occupation of their territories unconstitutional. Demand the nation to become constitutional and we are required to bring the troops home immediately.

Let us get out in the streets like was done during the Vietnam War. This Sat. March 21 will be a demo in Washington, D.C. Check out website: Answer@AnswerCoalition.org. With thousands and hundreds of thousands and millions of folks uniting and also emailing and calling your representatives and Senators over and over, and get your friends, family, and anyone else you can talk to, maybe they will get the message like during the Vietnam War.

I have not read every post here, so forgive me if this has been suggested. I am under the personal opinion that just up and leaving Iraq with their current lack of security will end in disaster. So I have tried to think of a way to instead achieve all of the following:
Secure Iraq
Relieve the burden of security from United States and other non Iraqi troops
Remove these same troops from danger
Increase Iraqi confidence in Iraqi troops and security forces
Drastically reduce the necessary numbers of non Iraqi personnel.
With the idea that this needs to be done fast I could come up with only one way so I decided to post it here and see. I am no military expert, nor am I an expert in computer software and hardware design so I don’t know if this is even possible. I have seen a PlayStation Eye and a number of web cams with tracking capabilities. I have also heard of mounted rifles used for hunting over the internet (I’m not a hunter so I would not understand why).
My idea is to combine these existing technologies into a network of rifles mounted onto buildings controlled on an encrypted network, possibly wireless. Access can be controlled by one system with dual biometric authentication, one handprint from a US official and the other from an authorizing Iraqi Officer, for firing verification. With this network in place all major cities can be secured with US personnel providing only non visible cover. The biometric verification will be able to log who did what and provide additional security for any fire command given. Obviously we do not want to make the people feel uneasy nor do we want to have these weapons tampered with. So wrap the whole thing in a metal container and place them in positions so that each one can be seen by another.
This is just an idea I had in hope of finding a compromise in the dispute regarding leaving Iraq.

how bout stop pulling inactive reservists who did their time at war from their jobs and putting them back on the lines.. if they got out of the army with a honorable discharge they probably have a reason for wanting to not reenlist. change by choice. not change by force

Not only do we need to leave Iraq "yesterday" but we must also get out of Afghanistan and close military bases all over the world. It would send a clear message to the people in this country and the world that we are serious about joining the world family rather than trying to be the world police force or imperial empire. It would also solve the economic crisis and free up funds to use for constructive and peaceful purposes here and around the world.
