it seems that a good way to begin would be to set up experimental programs in a few cities such as Washington DC, Chicago IL and San Francisco CA.  Certainly "Infanoj chirkaw la Mondo" would be able to help; see <http://www.icxlm.org>.

Even if it is true that it is easier to learn foreign languages in the primary school,  after my personal experience,  Esperanto is easier to learn also for much older persons. I learned it in few months when I was 64. This is a message for the political decision makers: no fear, most of you could easily learn Esperanto.                            Dante Kieriko

Square Dancing is a pleasant and stimulating activity.  Has it spread outside USA and Canada ?    It got exposure during the Calgary Games.

Any  S.D.  callers  out there willing to call moves in Esperanto ? Would an alliance  S.D.- Esperanto profit both ?

2 things or cultures are not yet extensively used in USA : Esperanto International Language and Metric Measurement System. I warmly recommend them both, to PRESIDENT OBAMA. With them,  I think,  Americans could  gain more economic advantages and international friendship.                            Dante Kieriko

In most newspapers there are sections for cross-words, sudoku, etc.   Could a simple, gradual Esperanto course be devised as an attractive  "mind game"  ?   It may trigger interest.  hv

I found an English translation of Claude Piron's Psychological Aspects of the World Language Problem and of Esperanto.
I think this speech lays the ground work for a more effective way of leading people to an understanding of why Esperanto is so very important.  http://web.archive.org/web/20070717093118/members.aol.com/sylvanz/pirprele.htm
