I highly suggest the new administration take a look at the latest finding on 9-11 by experts for the journal of 911 studies. It is very important for the general public to understand what many of us already know. See journal paper:

This is the most important issue that we have to undertake. The obvious violations of the Constitution and the Geneva Convention need to be investigated appropriately. We also need an appropriate reopening and investigatio into the events of 9-11, the greatest crime ever committed on American soil.

I have heard that Obama dosen't want to be distracted by an investagation of the outgoing adminastration. He dosen't need to be a distracted, he dosen't need to have any thing to do with a investagation. He only needs to tell his staff to get the investagation started, sign the proper paperwork, then go about his bussiness. If he lets these people off the hook, he will have a bunch of distraction from people like me. We are his supporters and we were promised an investigation, he is going to have a whole bunch distraction from us.

So many intelligent and thoughtful comments, it's nice to see that some (indeed) use their heads for more than hat racks. Thanks to all!

I suggest that the American people vote to see if impeachment is something we all want.  Many feel that it would waste valuable time and money and distract the Obama administration from the daunting tasks it has before them.. I feel that we must impeach people who knowingly and wantonly break laws that are fundamental to our democracy.  I hope the answer will be a resounding "yes" and that this country will reform.  A free country is one in which all opinions should be heard but people who break the law should be held accountable.  Shame on the Bush administration.  Self-serving was all they were interested in, not the will of all the people and our precious Constitution.

I have not voted for over twenty years because I have been disgusted with the fact that I was forced to be taught one thing in school about the U.S., and life in it showed me quite another. Born and raised, but by no means proud to be an American. I voted for Obama because he said something on his web site that touched me deeply. He asked me to believe in myself. I voted for him because he showed me a spark of faith in myself that we could make the world, not just the U.S., a better place by voting for him. His will in his speeches showed me that he has the strength to do just that. I never wanted to vote again until now. I most certainly would never vote for another Republican because they are not truly pro-life. To be truly pro-life you must be pro-life for all, not just those in the womb. However, if Obama does not use his power, like Bush forcefully did to usurp all meaning of our Constitution, but rather to undo Bush's clearly evil works and show the people of the world that no one is above the laws that our fore-fathers set into motion, then I will truly never vote for another Democrat as well.

That is my use of power.

    Enough said.

When a law is broken in America the offender is prosecuted.  No discussion, the state brings charges and the whole thing goes to court.  The very same logic applies to the Executive Branch of our government.  If the Bush Administration is not investigated a dangerous precendent will be established.  As a US Citizen, I obey the laws of this country and I expect everyone to do the same or face the consequences.  If any Executive Branch of government is exempted from the the same responsibilities as any citizen, there is no reason for anyone to respect or obey the "Rule of Law".  The logical action going forward is to empower a Special Investigator and Prosecutor to prove that no one in the Bush Administration violated either US or International Law and publish the report for the public.  If it can't be proven that they are innocent, then the same charges need to be brought against them as any body else.  Apply the Golden Rule and then we can see the, Measure of our Laws applied equally and fairly, with liberty and justice for all.
