It has Occured to me that for this entire eight years our Congress and Senate has sat by and let these NeoCons destroy our constitutional government. They have contributed to all of the crimes these Project for a new AMerican Century (PNAC) people have committed as members of the highest offices in our land. Congress could have and should have stopped the rape and pillaging and mass murder in Iraq. Congress approved the blank checks for the billions of unaccounted for dollars that helped to drive America into bankruptcy. I suggest that Congress and the senate be fined large painful amounts of money and to forfeit any and all increases for the future. If they are so patriotic want to be public servants then let them serve with a wage consistent with government employees working on a grade scale level from GS-7 to GS-15. And that they shall forfeit their retirement in favor of Social Security. I dont believe our forefathers had intended them to be paid as Corporate CEO's. The facts are this because of their lack of action to reign in these neocons, they are as guilty of aiding and abetting the many crimes committed by this administration.

With 3 days left in office how do all you left wingers propose to impeach Bush/Cheney in such a short time? Should impeachment proceedings start all Bush/Cheney have to do is contact Eric Holder AG designee will get them a pardon. Remember Marc Rich and the Puerto Rican terrorists?
Also you say no one is above the law. What about Obama's pick for Treasury? Forgot to pay his income tax and now he is going to be in charge of the IRS. The last I knew failing to file income tax is against the law.

The majority of the people DO NOT WANT universal health
care. It is nothing but socialism
You would stand in line for hours to see a doctor. Just check out the Massachusetts health care plan.

The President takes an oath to defend the Constitution. Investigating and prosecuting the crimes of the Bush administration is not optional; it is required. And if they are allowed to get away with their crimes, what is to stop a future administration from behaving the same way? If they are allowed to get away with their crimes, we will be permenently stuck with an imperial Presidency and a toothless Congress.

Concern for the new President Even I, an avowed atheist, may be moved to pray for Barak Obama as he shoulders the burdens of leadership of a nation whose citizens and whose elected representatives have so devalued the rule of law and our Constitution that George Bush and Richard Cheney are permitted to continue poisoning the environment, both moral and physical, until their very last days in office when they may pardon themselves and their cohorts for the many impeachable actions that have ben so well documented over the past eight years. A question for the President Elect How will you remove the stain on our Constitution left by the failure of this Congress to honor their oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution in the face of so many carefully researched and well documented violations of trust and law attributed to Bush, Cheney et al? The Constitution does not empower Speaker Pelosi to take impeachment "off the table". The repudiation of Bush's impeachable actions through the constitutionally mandated process of impeachment is the only way to demonstrate to our children, future Presidents and the world that our system of government establishes a nation of laws that works for all the people. This work left undone is a corrosive so dangerous to the fundamental ideals of our democracy that it undermines the very oath of office taken by every elected officeholder. Personally, I find no motivation to work for a political party whose leadership and whose elected representatives found insufficient devotion to the Constitution to use its mandated procedure, impeachment, to remove the President as well as the Vice President whose actions in office have been more reprehensibly impeachable than those of any administration in our history.

Enact a very strong "Whistle Blowers" act, that gives superior protection to the person(s) exposing wrong doing, and in the case of misappropriation, illegal use of government funds, provides a fractionof the funds recovered tothe whistle blower.
Expand the law to expose wrong doing in private business, the financial sector, to protect the public from scams and help expand regulation to areas no preently covered.

It looks like the tin-foil-hat-wearing crowd has found a home at change.org. There are complaints about Bush not adhering to the Constitution but I ask all of you, have you seen the true and correct notarized BIRTH CERTIFICATE of Obama? NO! You have been shown a COLB that says Obama's father's race is African. In 1961 black people were called NEGROES on all legal papers. The photo-shopped COLB is no proof of birth in the USA.
If Obama's birth certificate surfaces after the inauguration and it is shown that he was born in Mombassa, his election is a sham, hoax, and a lie. Show us the real Birth Certificate and prevent a real Constitutional crisis.

I agree with Mr. Wheeler's idea, it is by far the most encompassing plan to date.
After having read your ideas on the course the citizens of this Nation must take in order to reclaim its original founding principles, I believe I stumbled upon the completion of the idea.
For nine years (I started before Bush 43 was appointed to his first term) I have been trying to rally some type of major movement in order to wake the nation from years of apathy. After the 2000 election, those who were engaged even lost hope, as it seemed that nothing outside of an all out revolution would suffice to motivate a fallen people.
The events of September 11, 2001 gave Bush et al the stage to play their game to their audience, and for a while, most of the world. How quickly they squandered the world's sympathy, more importantly their empathy.
The petitions I recommended previously I still urge people to sign and forward to as many people as possible. But the time is late, almost the 11th hour before Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rove, Gonzalez, Rice slip away with their pardons in hand.
The one thing we have not organized, not called for, is what I believe is most needed. A show of solidarity and strength. One that President-elect Obama cannot avoid, we need a peaceful revolution simply stating "The buck stops here, they must and will be held accountable, beware the Risen People." A message that all across America, rallies of like-minded patriots will display that we are looking forward, and therefore the past must be dealt with according the laws of this nation, and any other governing body who by definition of offence(s) may have jurisdiction.

Already mentioned is the need to re-open the investigation of the events of 9/11. There is now convincing scientific evidence that explosives were used to bring down all three towers that day. In light of this it appears the investigation will have to extend to the writers of the NIST report and the 9/11 Commission report to find out why they were so careful to avoid proper investigation of this possibility. There are numerous papers at the Journal of 9/11 Studies
http://journalof911studies.com/
which provide details of scientific findings. A useful paper to introduce this topic is
http://journalof911studies.com/volume/2008/911andProbabilityTheory17Legge.pdf
This paper provides links to a number of scientific papers which support all claims.
