Not just an American problem.

SRO's (single room occupancy)  may not be the American Dream but this is far more practical than perpetuating an illusion that all is well . In order to support an $8 per hour minimum wage ,then supporting Affordable WorkForce housing is needed and requires a shift in our thinking.

India ,as an example, has no delusions about unplanned and unstructured development. The majority of need is in the two room or less occupancy.....70%.  1/3rd of the World's Urban population  lives in slums.  Is that what we use to compare ourselve's with  here in the U.S.? Do we use that to feel better about ourselve's?
