Mission:
“Peace Care” is a Proposed Collaboration between US Primary Care Training Institutions, US Public Health Training Institutions, and the US Peace Corps to Improve the Health of Global Communities.

Proposed Action: Establish "Peace Care" as a Domestic Program within Peace Corps by Amending House Bill 1066, the “Peace Corps Expansion Act of 2009"

Rationale: “Peace Care” can play an integral role in the broader objective of a Global Health Corps.

I am a big supporter of the Peace Corps and ask that you amend the Peace Corps Expansion Act of 2009 to include the initiative, "Peace Care."
This program would have a significant impact on global health through the well-established and well-respected structure of Peace Corps. This is an excellent opportunity to expand the reach of Peace Corps to impact global health, illustrating the desire of the United States to help the citizens the world over to lead healthier lives.
