Become a Climate Precinct Captain today!

Today, hundreds of climate activists will be taking the next step forward in climate leadership by signing up as Climate Precinct Captains. Here at 1Sky and in various states, our organizers are gearing up to work with these leaders across the country. Join hundreds of other committed climate advocates nationally as a Climate Precinct Captain today or join a group of your neighbors and sign up for a climate precinct near you.

As a movement, we have about a month to influence the climate bill being drafted before it gets debated in Congress. After that, we will essentially be rallying behind a bill and trying to get as many members of Congress to support it as we can and get it passed this year. The time for action is now. We have not a day to lose to change the course of history and pass the nation’s first comprehensive climate bill by next winter, when we’ll enter the international arena at the Copenhagen climate negotiations. I feel this pledge is important because I recently became precinct captain and I see an opportunity as climate precinct captain to inform voters on other issues that are equally important
