Support the Peace Alliance on Change.org

The Peace Alliance is the nonprofit organization behind the national grassroots effort to enable civic activism in support of a culture of peace, including establishing a U.S. Department of Peace. The organization needs activist and financial support to grow the network of online peacebuilding activists and produce materials, trainings, and tools that will help ensure activist success.

    It is important that we attempt to teach every generation that we cannot bring about peace and justice in the world when we continue to use military means as the main method of resolving conflicts.

    Litany for Peace
    We have prayed for peace, unknowing of what we truly ask,seek
    Peace cannot come into the house
    where love is unwelcomed
    Peace cannot come into the land
    where injustice and oppression live
    Peace cannot enter or be fostered
    In souls that still engage in dispute
    Peace does not come meekly and unarmed
    Peace needs the pathway of our will to CHANGE
    Peace will not come to the troubled world
    unless WE first invite it under our own roof

    Peace, I AM disarming myself of the need to BE right,
    Peace, I AM disclaiming my need to feel superior,
    Peace, I AM dissolving my contract with fear
    Peace, I AM removing my armor of anger,
    Peace, I AM dismantling my anxious illusions,
