it would be a changed world if all those self-sufficient would help those who are not! Half the people in the U.S. can't pay their bills at the end of the month!

It's a disgrace to all of us to have so many poor people in need and so many rich people not helping.

In L.A. Calif. there are 80,000 homeless. There are also 360,000 millionares living in the same county. In a true Christian society there would be no homeless with over 4 to1 rario of millionares to homeless. We claim to be a Christian Loving society so why is there so much pain and suffering of the poor?
Please start a campaign to rid the U.S. of suffering people. Our greatets assets are our people so why do we allow our greatest assets to depreciate at an alarming rate?
God's greatest commandments are to Love Him and Love the poor as ourselves. It would be a changed world if we would just obey God's commands that have been in our understanding for hundreds of years.
I have done it with a homeless ministry for 4 years. I can show the fortunate how to truely love the unfortunate in a short period of time.lease help now and turn this road to distruction around before it is too late!
I pray God's will be done in this matter!
    Thank You!
    God Bless You!
    Paul

It's important that America under President Obama concentrates on a national sustainability strategy that focus on global sustainability as well. This would mean that unsustainable consuption and production patterns in the American lifestyles are adressed so that USA becomes a sustainability contributer to the earth and not just green washing the image. To start with a clear committment at the upcoming COP15 Climate Change Conference end of the year in Copenhagen will become a good indicator for the world to see if American policy is really changing.

    Mr. President,

God bless you.  I am a 60 year old woman who is unemployed since June 30th of 2008.

My question to you is this, I was down sized from a job of 29 years twelve years ago.  That establishment took employees where there age plus service time equaled retirement age.  Since it has been difficult to find a job thus far could it be a way that the government look into taking those of us that are close to Social Security qualification (62) and allow them to sign up for the benefits which would allow those that are still between 25-50 years a more reachable possibility of seeking employment.  This way my age group would be out of the way.  I know only a precentage would be given but we would no longer get the unemployment insurance that will run out between the increased 13 - 7 weeks.  I would like to know your thoughts on this.  Hope this makes sense.

    Thank you for your time.

    A Concerned American Citizen

Let's make a deal with all the fossil fuel companies, CAFOs, mining companie and other resource-intensive industries.  We'll untax their profits IF they agree to pay true costs for resources (which, rightfully, really belong to all of us; Exxon didn't make the oil in the ground, did it?), as well as pollution, land use and whatever else they don't actually produce, but merely take from nature.
This Geonomic idea would discourage the waste of resources, end speculation on the markets by taking away the "fuel" for it in the form of taxes, free up innovation by untaxing true productive operations, and vastly reduce pollution by finally taxing these "externalities."

    1) tax land/not improvements 2) international commerce: buy & sell only raw resources/each country should make its own finished products 3) demand that all families with an income of $1 million must serve in the military as enlisted personnel (age appropraite, of course) 4) abolish welfare health care (after the other ideas are in effect) 5) build a wall between us and mexico 6) make drugs legal and cheap (that war is lost) 7) life imprisonment for any fraud, theft, or abuse of public or private funds that have national security affect.  8) change or abolish the stock market which allows the wealthy to inflate prices for us all.

My comment is on Gates and Crowley. I am so tired of the media turning this incident into a "racism" issue.  Regardless of what President Obama may have said that it was "stupid" on Crowley's part, I am sure that it was an innocent mistake. But then you have to question if it were a "caucasin" individual saying that to a "black" person, would it get so much hype? What are we teaching our children when all of this is in newspapers, television and radios? As adults we need to look beyond this. We need to stop with all the bigotry, racism and unfairness of both races. All this behavior is the reason why we are in this shithole simply because one race feels that they can and should over power the next race, well to my knowledge, everyone is equal no matter what color they are. I find that whoever thinks that they're better than the next because of color are mistakenly wrong. Those of us that think that way, must take "time out" and do some real soul searching about one self. I am totally disgusted with this society. I am a single parent and teaching my son how to treat all people WITH RESPECT.

    Hi Ben,

I found your site just by accident and thought I should congratulate you on your efforts to change the destinies of less fortunate Americans. And I thought I should also tell you about my book by which I am trying to change the destinies of modern slaves across the globe. You might find it useful to your mission to change the destinies of Americans as well. It is titled "Eclipse of Destinies: Eloquence of Deception and Betrayal", Trafford Publishing, Indiana, USA, which has just been released. Please visit www.trafford.com or www.eclipseofdestinies.com for more information. I request you to spend just a few minutes of your time and read it. There is a probability that your and my life can change.

    Kind regards.

    Ram.

Want to save the large vehicle dealerships from bankruptcy? Take a look at how many complaints on Mr. Lube (and other quick service facilities) have. Most of them are regarding poor service that has an end result of additional damage to a vehicle. If Say, Mr. Lube (and all affiliates) were taken off all warranty approved services....owners would go back to their dealerships, and spend their money there, and save your people from possible damage to their cars, that hinders their safety in the community.

I am Canadian...and we all have these problems. I believe the US people can take this charge to help all of us.

My short story: I got serviced from Mr. Lube", and ended up having oil in my brake system......resulting in complete replacement after 2 months of operation. I could of lost my brakes at anytime..i could have killed someone - even myself - if i didn't get things checked out by a Licenced Mechanic before going on a big road trip.
