My son has served three tours in Iraq. Although to most folks he seems perfectly fine, I know better. He is unscathed physically, but emotionally is a different matter. I know he will be fine in time, and am thankful for the programs that this country has for our veterans. It is just a process of readjustment....many, many young men and women are, and will be, going through this. They need all the support they can get. Thanks.

I started a fundraising site on my profile as I am very concerned about our soldiers as they come back from their second and third tour of duty. I know a lot of folks who have served in earlier situation and many who are going over now. I want them to come back to an America who welcomes them and helps them get on with their lives. God bless you all for caring about our troops and an extra extra blessing to all our men and women in uniform. We love you!

What's cool about IAVA is that they're really, really smart about where they devote their resources. Everything they do is strategic and efficient. That's why they've been able to win dozens of legislative victories on behalf of Vets. I've been watching them for a long long time, and I'm consistently impressed with how much they get done in such short periods of time.
