Fuzzy Labels

An HSUS undercover investigation reveals that some of New York's largest and most exclusive department stores are duping their customers. That's right, Bloomingdales, Bergdorf Goodman, and Saks Fifth Avenue have all been selling unlabeled fur-trimmed garments in violation of New York state law (gasp!). The law requires that all apparel with real or fake fur be labeled as real or fake, so that shoppers can have access to important product information. Despite the law which has been in effect for over a year, entire racks of jackets trimmed with animal furs were found at these stores without any labeling information regarding the origins of the furs.
So if these stores aren't labeling their garments properly, how is anyone supposed to make informed decisions about what they are buying? Without proper labeling, a compassionate consumer can easily mistake a real fur trimmed jacket (which may have come from a raccoon dog who was skinned alive in China) for faux.
We can't let the fashion industry continue to deceive compassionate shoppers. Click here to learn how to tell real fur from fake:http://www.hsus.org/web-files/PDF/fur/field-guide-on-real-vs-fake-fur-final.pdf
