Analytics Engineer

YOU WANT

YOU HAVE
  • a passion for "big data" and how to mine it for knowledge
  • a deep understanding of linear algebra, machine learning, and statistics
  • a solid understanding of software engineering
  • completed multiple projects using one or more of the following techniques: classification, clustering, recommendation, visualization, logistic regression, principal component analysis, multidimensional scaling
YOU CAN
  • create and apply machine learning algorithms to complex problems
  • can write scalable, production-ready code
  • find your way around both MySQL and MongoDB data stores
  • visualize data sets to make them understandable to lay people
YOU WILL
  • live, breathe, and love our data
  • use Hadoop, MapReduce, Mahout, GNU R, and other tools
  • demonstrate your progress toward your goal each week
