The CompuMentor Project

435 Brannan St
San Francisco, CA 94107

CompuMentor, a San Francisco based nonprofit, was founded in 1987 upon two ideas: Nonprofits and schools need to use computers, but face many obstacles, including lack of resources and emphasis on mission, rather than technology. Computer culture has spawned an abundance of people with great computer skills and big hearts, who are looking for a way to contribute their expertise to worthy organizations. Putting these two constituencies together in a structured way that solves problems, empowers schools and nonprofits, and creates satisfying volunteerism opportunities, is what CompuMentor is all about.
