Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corp.

Founded in 1981, the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation''s (TNDC) mission is to provide safe, affordable housing with supportive services for low-income people in the Tenderloin community and be a leader in making the neighbhorhood a better place to live. TNDC owns and operates 25 buildings and houses over 2,500 residents, who earn less than $20,000 a year and are considered by the U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development as being "extremely low-income." In addition, TNDC''s supportive services (a team of on-site social workers and an after-school center for children and teens) are providing a foundation for building better lives.
