SAN FRANCISCO BICYCLE COALITION

833 Market Street
San Francisco, CA 94103

Our mission is to transform San Francisco''s streets and neighborhoods into safer and more livable places by promoting the bicycle for everyday transportation. In over 30 years, the SFBC has achieved major policy and bicycle infrastructure victories; our biggest goal is completing the Citywide Bicycle Network--a contiguous network of 200 miles of bicycle lanes and bike paths connecting every neighborhood and commercial district throughout San Francisco, so that everyone, ages 8 to 80, can travel safely and comfortably by bike.  Our active 10,000+ membership represent San Franciscans of all ages, from all neighborhoods, who are working towards more safe, efficient, and green ways to move around our city. Because of our efforts, the number of residents biking for transportation has doubled in the past 10 years. Today, over 30,000 San Franciscans use bicycles as their primary mode of transportation.
