Pro Mujer

Pro Mujer provides micro-loans to women who work in precarious conditions, with low incomes and without access to social benefits. Operating a small business is often the only means they have to support their families. These women are willing to invest the long hours necessary to operate and grow their busineses; but, without access to capital, their businesses have little chance of survival, let alone grow.

Providing access to credit is the foundation of our holistic approach to helping them succeed. The lending programs are enhanced by business training, social development, and health education. The multi-facted training and links to affordable healthcare ensure a greater probability for success and a healthier, more secure future for their families. The health and social services component is a critical part of Pro Mujer's strategy. PMI understands that if a woman is not well, she cannot work.
