Philharmonic Society of Orange County

As the oldest music organization in Orange County, the Philharmonic Society upholds a standard of excellence that is unmatched in our community. The Society has arranged and funded Orange County performances by artists who define "world class" and set the standard for artistic achievement in our time. From its solid foundation of classical music - symphony orchestras, soloists, and chamber music - the Society moved forward to embrace world music, multimedia performances, folk and traditional art forms and contemporary music. Today, the Philharmonic Society showcases the very best music and performance our world has to offer. Now, the Society faces the future with the launch of Eclectic Orange Festival, an annual performing arts festival that serves Orange County audiences by collecting even more of "the world''s best" and presenting it in a festival format. Modeled on the great city festivals such as the Edinburgh International Festival, the Salzburg Festival, and New York''s Next Wave Festival, Eclectic Orange Festival is already providing a cultural focus point for the entire community and will soon make Orange County a cultural destination.
