New York Cares is New York City's leading volunteer organization. Last year, its 43,000 volunteers helped 450,000 disadvantaged New Yorkers by providing critical assistance to 990 nonprofit agencies.

New York Cares is more than just a service that matches individual volunteers with nonprofit agencies. Its staff works with each organization to identify its most pressing needs, creates projects where volunteers can make meaningful contributions, and then recruits and deploys teams of volunteers to meet these needs.
