For the past thirty years, the National Immigration Project has been protecting the rights of newcomers to the U.S. We understand that threats to immigrant rights have always set dangerous precedents for the rights all U.S. residents, both citizen and noncitizen. This is why our work is grounded in a humanitarian concern for the well-being of immigrants and a strong belief in our civic responsibility to preserve the liberal, democratic principles of our legal system for current and future U.S. citizens.
