MEF exists to seek justice, build relationships and serve the peoples of the Middle East by creating opportunities for dialogue, grassroots partnerships and reconciliation. We do so through our four major departments: 1. Cultural Connections: Provides opportunites for service-learning, pilgrimage and educational travel to the Middle East. 2. MEF Chapters/Southern California Student Network: Connecting individuals concerned about issues relating the Middle East for education and advocacy opportunities. 3. Middle East Window (http://www.middleeastwindow.com): An online magazine with over 1,500 articles on a wide-range of topics relating the Middle East providing a key educational resource for individuals interested in learning more about the region. 4. Relief & Development: Seeks to identify effective indigenous development work in the Middle East in order to raise awareness and seek financial support on their behalf.
