Louisiana SPCA

Chartered in 1888, the Louisiana Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (LA/SPCA) is the oldest and most comprehensive animal welfare organization in the state, and third oldest in the country providing care and basic medical services for approximately 11,000 animals each year.

For over 120 years, the LA/SPCA has served the needs of the people and animals in our community and surrounding region. The mission of the LA/SPCA is to advocate for and protect the animal community through high quality service, compassion, strong leadership and innovative programs.
