The J Street Education Fund, Inc. (JSEF) – and the larger J Street movement of which it is a part – promote strong U.S. leadership to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian and Arab-Israeli conflicts and seek to open up a broader debate and discussion on Israel in the American Jewish community.  

J Street represents Americans, primarily but not exclusively Jewish, who support Israel and believe resolving the conflicts with its neighbors diplomatically is essential to securing its future as a democratic and Jewish homeland.  We support the right of the Palestinians to a sovereign state of their own and believe that the only sustainable answer to the conflict – and the only way to achieve long-term security for Israel – is to have two states for the two peoples living side-by-side in peace and security. This is in the best interests of Israel, the United States, the Palestinians, and the region as a whole.

JSEF programs expand and strengthen the pro-Israel, pro-peace movement – in particular on college campuses – raising awareness among policy makers, community leaders and the broader public about issues related to Israel and the Middle East.  JSEF empowers activists with on- and off-line tools to advocate for a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and comprehensive regional peace.  JSEF also partners with like-minded organizations, within the Jewish community and outside, to pursue and promote its overarching goals.
