IPI is a voice, educator and activist for the tribal peoples worldwide to preserve the integrity of their lives and cultures.
From the late 1400’s to present day, indigenous cultures around the world have suffered genocide, forced relocation from their homelands, environmental devastation to their lands by outside influences, poverty and even extinction. Today many of these native cultures are fighting to survive. Fighting to keep their lands and way of life.
In the United States many Native Americans are still experiencing the suffering and demoralizing effects that began some 200 years ago against their people by the intrusion of white settlers upon their lands. Racism and U.S. government policies have had devastating effect towards the American Indians that still continue.
Indigenous Peoples International (IPI) is a humanitarian program of International Humanities Center, a nonprofit organization under Section 501(c) (3) of the IRS Code.
