Insight Prison Project

IPP''s mission is to break the cycle of recidivism and avoid revictimizing the public by (1) offering life-changing educational programs for incarcerated men in San Quentin; (2) replicating programs in other prisons through printed curriculum and training; and (3) influencing public policy through the CDCR, like-minded groups, and the medi.

IPP creates and conducts effective rehabilitation programs inside the prison, and supports the reinstatement of rehabilitation as the core operating principle within the California penal system. The focus is on fostering durable self-transformation through awareness of and change in the inner conditions that led to incarceration.
