Peak oil, peak food, peak water, climate change and biodiversity loss are the monster issues of our time. Underlying them all, exacerbating them and erasing nearly every forward step we take to solve them - is modern society's insistence on continued growth. According to Global Footprint Network we have already outgrown the resources of our planet. Yet we have a global goal of perpetual economic growth and we refuse to take real steps to stabilize and then gradually reduce our population. The mission of Citizen-Powered Media's GrowthBusters project is to prepare society to embrace the end of growth.
