Greater Waltham Arc

GWARC was formed in 1956 by a group of concerned parents, and is uniquely sensitive to the level of personal support required for individuals to thrive. Our mission is to serve people in the community with developmental disabilities and their families, utilizing a family-centered, whole life planning approach. We provide quality, flexible programs and services that maximize independence, foster inclusion and build community connections. GWARC programs are based upon self-determination, sound teaching practices and the latest technology. We strive to promote independence, empowerment, inclusion and informed choice for participants in our programs: Day Habilitation, Pathways to Independence, Employment Services, Recreation PLUS, and Family Support.
